I just read that men with prostate cancer don’t get good treatment, is this true?

Do they get good treatment or do men not get good treatment if they have prostate cancer?? That sucks if you get cancer you can’t even get good treatment.

I think perhaps what you mean is that they get treatment that is not necessary, this type of cancer progresses very slowly and many patients do not opt for treatment as a result. See this link.

    Source please.

If a man gets regular screening and the cancer is caught early it is very treatable. The problem is once it spreads it becomes increasingly difficult to treat.

Sorry very vague answer, I would like to read the article about men not getting good treatment when they have prostate cancer. I see a lot of men on my floor with prostate cancer. Most of the time for surgical removal of the prostate.

I’d like to know the source of that hogwash myself honey. In my experience the reason people fail to get good treatment is that they don’t get tested for things. Then it’s found too late or they opt for some unproven treatment like laetrile.

Prostate cancer is one of the more curable cancers. The treatment you get is well entrenched. The level of treatment you get is great. I just started radiation treatments. Five days a week for eight weeks.
